Placement record for civil engineering in UVCE is not quite good.In most of government College, placement scene of civil engineering is not Soo good.Companies like L&T used to visit in some of Colleges and recruit few students hardly 4-5 out of 90..If you really want do something great then you have to qualify GATE with good score so that you can get call letter from PSUs.Also ESE is an option for you..Since placement records for civil engineering stream is not good even in IITs or NITs.

Now coming to your question,UVCE was established in the year 1917, under the name, Government Engineering college by BharatRatna Sir M Visvesvaraya, and was affiliated to University of Mysore.It is the 5th Engineering College to be established in the country after the formation of Bangalore University in 1964, UVCE became one of the constituent college of Bangalore University.

now as per the previous year cutoff, chances are medicore that you will land in the desired branch according to your given information above.

The timings of UVCE usually varies everyday. Sometimes classes start early in the morning while sometimes they start at 11am.

You will easily get to know about daily class timings via your class representative.

Typically on an average, day starts with you reaching the college at 10:30 am and then by 2:20 pm or even earlier gets over. When you have labs you might have to stay till 5:00 pm.

Coming to your question I would like to tell you that the first sem engineering classes at ivce college whenever is started you will come to know so just sit back and relax,because ivce generally sends the message to the students regarding the starting of the class in the each semester ,

No you don't have to pay all four years fee if you are dropping it in between.It completely depends on you what do you want to pursue.

If you got a seat in medical college and you are prepared for this then you can switch and if not then you can  continue your present degree.

The college timings are not listed anywhere online about UVCE BANGLORE but most of the the colleges in india starts between 8 am - 10 am and the college ends anywhere between 4 pm - 6 pm. But i have heard that the college provides enough time for co curriculum activities and studies and the college life will be great.
