The One Planet, One Ocean programme by edX imparts knowledge to all its learners in the fundamental concepts of marine science which includes economic models, coastal ecosystems, deltas under pressure, threats to the ocean, coastal hazards, nutrient management, coastal solutions, plankton, ocean health index, ocean management, range shifts, alien species, marine spatial planning, aquaculture, fisheries economics, and ocean evolution.
One Planet, One Ocean Course course also speaks about the ecosystem change and its impact in the ocean. The candidate will also understand the influence of humans on the oceans. Certification Qualifying Details
The candidate must pass with 70% and opt the verified course track by doing the defined payment, to receive a certificate from edX. The grade is calculated considering 50% marks from the final exam, 40% from the midterm exam and the rest from post and pre course surveys. The progress of the candidate can be seen in the progress page.
