Hello,
Yes, you likely can get admission for BVoc in Software Development at MGV Manmand with your 12th PCB background, as they often accept "any stream," but you need to confirm the exact eligibility on their official portal.
I hope it will clear your query!!
Eligibility for the NIMCET examination is clearly defined by the participating NITs. To appear for NIMCET, a candidate must have completed a Bachelor’s degree of at least three years duration with Mathematics as a compulsory subject in at least one year/semester at the graduation level.
If your B.Voc (Software Development and e-Governance) is a full three-year degree program recognized by a UGC-approved university, and if Mathematics was a compulsory subject during at least one full year or two semesters of your graduation, then you are eligible to appear for the NIMCET exam.
Your PCM background in Class 10 and 12 strengthens your academic foundation, but for NIMCET, graduation-level Mathematics is the key requirement. Studying Mathematics only in Class 12 is not sufficient; it must be part of your bachelor’s curriculum.
Before applying, you should carefully check:
• Your university transcripts or syllabus to confirm Mathematics is listed as a subject
• Whether the Mathematics course is credit-based and part of your degree evaluation
• The official NIMCET information brochure for the admission year
If Mathematics appears clearly in your graduation records, you can safely apply for NIMCET. If not, you may not be considered eligible, even with a PCM background.
As a backup, you can also explore MCA admissions through state-level MCA entrance exams or private universities that accept B.Voc graduates with a computing background.
