The fee of a master's degree in design varies based on the institution. Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED): CEED is an entrance examination for admission in the M.Des programme. The paper will be divided into two parts. Part A has objective type questions and Part B of the paper consists of design and hand-drawn type questions.
NID DAT: NID Design Aptitude Test is offered at the National Institute of Design Universities. Candidates have to qualify for two NID admission tests in order to be eligible for admission to NID Campuses.
NIFT: National Institute of Fashion Technology conducts this examination to give admission to its design programmes. It is a national level entrance examination. Delhi is the headquarters of NIFT. After qualifying for the NIFT examination, students get admission in various design courses like M.Des, B.Des., BTech, MTech.
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE): GATE is an online national level entrance examination. Aspirants who want to take admission in IITs, NITs, IIITs and other universities/institutes in India. The GATE score is accepted by the engineering and designing colleges in India.
Indian Institute of Craft and Design (IICD) Examination: IICD is a university level entrance examination. It is divided into two parts. After qualifying for the first part of the examination, he/she will have to qualify for the second part and after passing the entrance examination, students have to appear for the personal interview.
IIAD: Indian Institute of Art and Design conducts the IIAD entrance exam to give admission in UG and PG design programmes. After appearing for the written examination, students have to appear for a personal interview/studio round.
The M.Des (Master of Design) cutoff is the minimum grade required for admission to a university. Each course and the university has its own cutoff. Cutoffs are determined by a variety of factors, including the difficulty of the entrance exam, the number of applicants, previous year cutoff trends, and the popularity of the course.
