At a score of 79 percentile in jee mains 2019 which college can be good for me?
FIRST OF ALL 79 PERCENTILE IS A VERY LOW SCORE BUT AS NTA HAS GIVEN YOU TWO OPPORTUNITIES THIS TIME SO I THINK YOU SHOULD TRY YOUR BEST TO SCORE MORE THAN THE PREVIOUS ONE AND WHICHEVER WILL BE YOUR BEST SCORE, THAT PERCENTILE WILL BE USED TO CALCULATE YOUR RESULT.IF YOU WANT A GOOD COLLEGE THEN I AM REALLY SORRY TO SAY YOU CAN'T GET WITH THIS SCORE SO TRY YOUR BEST AND GIVE YOUR SECOND JEE MAIN WITH FULL OF ENERGY.FURTHERMORE, TO DETERMINE JEE MAIN 2019 RESULTS AND RANKLIST, THE AGENCY WILL ADOPT THE PROCESS OF NORMALIZATION WHICH WILL BE BASED ON PERCENTILE CALCULATION.THUS, DERIVING ONE'S RANK FROM THE PERCENTILE SCORE OF THE FIRST ATTEMPT IS NOT POSSIBLE AS THE EXAM IS BEING CONDUCTED TWICE.THEREFORE, WITHOUT TAKING MUCH OF YOUR WORRY YOU CAN START PREPARING FOR YOUR APRIL SESSION EXAM.BEST OF LUCK FOR IT.
With this percentile score your approximately rank will be more than 1.6 lakh and in this rank it will be not possible for you to get admission in good college through josaa
You can try for next attempt and score maximum as you can atleast 97 percentile.
Or you can apply for nearby state college and some other private colleges.
You can give entrance of other colleges like
:
VITEEE
BITS PILANI
IPU -CET
Etc.
Good luck
.
It is difficult to get top nit Colleges by this percentile score as per previous years trends.you should get below 20000 rank to get seat in nits.
.
Use this formula to predict the rank:
- Rank Formula = (100 - your total score) X 874469/100.
- Your expected rank is 183638 by using above formula.
You have to wait for the official results.if you want to compare with previous years cutoff of nits.you can go through the below link:

Hello Somesh
Well, it's very difficult as of now,to predict the cutoff for colleges of JEE mains and for jee advance based on percentile. You can first calculate your rank by rank=(100-percentile)*874469/100.With this rank, you can compare previous year's cutoff for different colleges and can predict some of the colleges you may be getting and also the advance cut off.But remember this is not the final rank.It will change based on the april session of mains. To further predict colleges visit https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor .Hope this helps.
Good Luck
