Definitely not.
Before solving hc verma you need to have your basic concepts clear from ncert books.For concepts,i will suggest only ncert books.Read and solve its questions first.
After completing ncert books for class 11th and 12th you can start solving hc verma questions.
You can score very high marks in physics in jee mains if you follow this.
