Yes he can surely work in other kind of jobs but he shall require lot of training and learning post engineering to specialise in particular field.

He can go for Mtech or MS for further specialization and understand all advnaced concepts and Technology.

Average package at IIT Kharagpur is 9LPa and highest js 67LPA.
