See, for admission in Biotechnology whether its lesser known or renowned university you will have to appear in their entrance exams because almost every university conducted entrance for biotechnology course and if there is any which is not conducting,its not worth joining.
As for B.Sc in chemistry you don't need to appear in entrances  (although top colleges conduct entrance), you will get direct admission in many colleges.
