There are numerous instances of students giving interview for Computer Engineering courses irrespective of their core field. Just you need to be aware of the basics of the coding languages & the domain you are entering into. You need to be thorough with whatever the interviewer asks you. Irrespective of your core field, you can sit for Computer companies if you have interest in them & you are good at them.
