Hello,
In the time of application there was a limited time for correcting all these kind of mistakes. Because when the results are out there also a prior steps regarding caste (reservation) . So in the time of counselling it is not possible to change the whole process. It is actually a wide mistake.

No, changing your category after jee mains is not allowed in counselling process as well as Jee Advanced registration. All the details given by you while filling the application form is considered to be true. If you have any corrections to make you are allowed to do that during the correction period.
