Multiply the first number by 3 and then subtract 6 from the resultant to obtain the second number.
Like, 6 : 12→(6 × 3) – 6 = 18 – 6 = 12
And, 9 : 21→(9 × 3) – 6 = 27 – 6 = 21
Similarly, follow the same pattern for 3→(3 × 3) – 6 = 9 – 6 = 3
So, 3 is related to 3. Hence, the first option is correct.
