NEFT stands for National electronic funds transfer. It is a payment process where the the funds settlement takes place in half hourly batches. This type of transfers are not time-sensitive.
RTGS stands for real time gross settlement. It is a type of payment process of continuous and real time settlement for the transfer of funds. It is mostly preferred for urgent transfers of large amount of money.
