Hello Dear,

In most contemporary societies, since it is mostly women who mother, we tend to associate the terms ‘motherhood’ and ‘mothering’ primarily with women. Besides this, we usually have very fixed notions about who is an ‘ideal mother’, and how ‘ideal mothering’ should be carried out. The category of motherhood in urban and rural areas in context to India based on the class divisions is focused on the liabilities and opportunities which the children get because of their high approach and larger contacts.Specially in the urban areas, the mothers spend all dessert time with their children during the latter stages of their development as compared to the rural areas which sometimes can lead the child into a situation of helplessness.

Good luck!!
