Hi aspirant
As per your rank you definitely have chances for getting a decent college under JEE.
But definitely you won't be able toake it to the top/best NITs/IIITs as your rank doesn't match as per the requirements.
However you can try for your home state NIT through your home state quota.
Also, you can go for GFTIs which can land you to a safer place.

Hope you are doing well
Since your rank is fine enough for admission in nit or goverment college so you can try for them.As counselling has been already started so you can choose your desired branch and college on basis of your rank.
There may be possibility that you will not get good branch in best nit but participate till last round.
