Yes special round is very useful for us. In first 5-6 rounds the change in cutoff of ranks happen very slowly whereas in spot round ranks change drastically.
You can even get a dream college of your choice and the branch u want to take. Spot round is conducted to fill up the Seats which were left during josaa counselling.
So I will advice you to go for special round

Special round is very important during the counseling time.
After all the rounds of counseling , if some seats are still remaining , for example , a student is given a seat but he doesn't report to his nearest NIT for it.
So all those empty seats are now transferred to the special round where students who did not get any seat can come and sit in the counseling for them.
