The level of MHCET for engineering admissions is going to get tougher and at par with JEE from 2018. To help students prepare well for both state and national level entrance exams, the Maharashtra state government has decided to raise the standard of the state CET from next year.

But you should not take the additional pressure of it right now and concentrate on your JEE Preparation because if you can prepare well for JEE Main then you will be able to catch up any level of MHT CET.

The syllabus will be your 11th and 12th.

Some books in my point of view-
Problems in Calculus by Sameer Bansal .
Coordinate geometry and Trigonometry by SL Loney.
Algebra by Cengage publication.
For Chemistry:-
For chemistry NCERT book is a must.
First Clear all your basic concepts from NCERT, after that for organic and inorganic follow Morrison and Boyd and JD Lee respectively but read only those topics which are mentioned in NCERT.
Books For problem-solving
physical chemistry- N Avasthi,
Organic chemistry- M S Chauhan,
For physics:-
Clear concept deeply, try to learn behind the scene of all concept.
Try to Solve each and every question of HC Verma by your self.
Must attempt all previous year questions.
All The Very Best and Good Luck.

Yes. This year DTE has changed syllabus and exam pattern of MHT CET exam.Now 20% weigtage will be given to Class XI curriculum while Class XII curriculum will carry remaining 80% weightage (40 Marks for 11th Class Syllabus and 160 Marks for 12th Class Syllabus).

But i would suggest you to prepare according to JEE syllabus and pattern becuase if you do well in JEE Main then you may get admission in india's top institute like NIT, IIITs and some other good national level colleges later you can get admission in IIT/ISM So aim for these institutes first.

If You are concerned about MHT CET preparation then there are not much difference in HSC syllabus of JEE Main and MHT CET but difficulty level and pattern will vary. JEE Main exam will condcut in first week of April and MHTCET conduct in the first week of May generally so you will have approx 30 days to prepare for MHT CET and if your JEE preparation is good then you can get good marks in MHT CET easily.
You can solve previous years paper of MHTCET (Solve majory HSC syllabus questions) and get familier with MHT CET exam pattern.

Focus on JEE Preparation now as only 5.5 Months are left for JEE Main exam.

Good Luck.

It was decided by State board to upgrade level of MHT CET and to conduct CET on par with JEE, in terms of quality and difficulty level.
But you should not take additional pressure of it right now and concentrate on your JEE Preparation because if you can prepare well for JEE Main then you will be able to catch up any level of MHT CET.
Till this year, they were asking simple formula based questions.next year, you might see some concept level questions as well in MHT CET like JEE.

Are you appearing for 12th this year?

You have almost 6 months for JEE Main and if you start preparation from today then also you can score good marks in JEE main.
You are studying in 12th class now and MHT CET paper will have 80% questions from 12th class so it would be easy for you to score good marks in MHT CET.

If you score 150 or above marks ( out of 360 marks) then you will have chances in some of the top national level colleges.

More than my surety, you should have believe in yourself.
Yes, You can clear JEE Main without coaching. There are several students get good score who don't take coaching.many students are not so confident about cracking JEE without coaching. Mostly it is a concept built by pressure and as per human Psychology when a student sees most of his/her friends are attending the coaching classes. But they don't realize that Everyone of them is not going to clear JEE.

First You should know complete syllabus of JEE Main and make a list of all important topics which you can give good score. check last year paper analysis.
