Hii,

You can give JEE MAINS three times i.e. once when you've done your 12th and two more times in the next two consecutive years.

Since the JEE MAINS exam is held twice in a year, therefore you have got six attempts in total.

But, if someone fails to score a minimum board percent rule once and sits again for improvement then that student will be left only with two chances.

For your concern of jee attempts a student can give jee mains exams for admission in engineering college. According to NTA, a student can attempt JEE Main exam twice in a particular academic session. However, as per eligibility criteria & the age for appearing in JEE Mains 2020, a candidate can appear in the JEE Exam for 3 consecutive years.

So now for jee main you can attempt it 6 times in 3 consecutive year

• Earlier, candidates had only three chances to attempt JEE Main, but now since JEE Main will be conducted twice a year, the number of attempts have been revised too.
• Candidates can now make maximum six attempts for JEE Main in three consecutive years.
• Therefore, for JEE Main 2020 candidates have two chances to attempt the exam, one was in January 2020 and then in April 2020.
