Mirrors are generally of three types

1. Plane mirrors: Flat mirrors that form a virtual image which is of same size as that of the object and is upright.

2. Concave mirrors: These mirrors produce magnified images and are curved inwards. They can either converge or diverge light.

3. Convex mirrors: These mirrors curve outwards. They diverge light and provide larger field view.

1. Convex lens: Thick in the middle and curve outwards. Also known as converging lens as they converge light rays at the focal point. Magnifying in nature.
