To get chemical engineering in the nits ,it is not on the basis of marks but on the basis of percentile. It is not possible to predict the minimum marks required to get this branch as every year there are many factors that are subject to change like difficult of paper, quality of students appeared in that shift.
But in general a score of 96.5 to 97 should fetch you a decent nit.
