How to be a pilot in the Indian army?
Hello Aradhna,
If you want to be an Army Aviator:
1. Give the CDS exam for IMA Dehradun or OTA chennai and clear the SSB.
2. Get trained and pass out the IMA/OTA
3. Towards the end of your training you will undergo the process known as ' choice of arms' where you can opt for for arm or service you want to join.
4. The chances of vacancies in the aviator are very low so yoy will have to be really high in merit.
5.in the event of going you for different arms you can always apply to change arm to aviation. This subject you ti clearing you PABT and an interview and getting recommended by your commanding officer.
6.once recommended, you have to undergo and clear one year aviation training before getting selected into army aviation corps.
