You should follow below strategies for your preparation
1- Complete your syllabus
You first preference should be to complete your syllabus and focus on important topics and chapters more with deep understanding.
2- Self Notes
You can make your own important notes. So, it will help you at the time of revision. You can write down important formulas & short tricks.
3- Previous Year Papers
You should go through past year papers to understand the exam pattern and level of questions. Questions are repeated in GATE but in different way.
4- Mock Test
You should solve complete mock test series to analyze your preparation level and to know your strength and weakness. So, you can work upon them.

Assuming all your basic concepts are clear so you can follow the below mentioned points -
Mainly focus on understanding fundamentals and practicing through good set of problems/quizzes.
Make a revision notes for all important topics during preparation.
After the preparation of every topics, you must test your skills on that topic by attempting online tests/quizzes.
Participate online discussion forums to clear your doubts.
Utilize your time till the exam day for preparation of the GATE.
