I am in 1st year ECE. How is Semiconductor chapter in Physics in 1st year. Is it very hard?Is it harder that 12th semiconductor? How is Lab?

Hi bro ,
No its not at all tough it just consist of the topics that we had covered in jee itsepf and during boards preparation but here its just in vast format consisting bjt , hall effects , MOSFET, all applications regarding semiconductors . Labs is not precisely taken over semiconductor one is just to operate pn junction diode and other is of transistor .

No, it's not tough at all, it's a bit lengthy chapter. In this chapter, there are definitions, types, p type , n type, semiconductor devices, BJT, valance band, band gap, some equations, drift and diffusion current, conductivity, hall effect, FET, JFET, MOSFET and their output characteristics, their applications etc.
