As you have mentioned that you've got 53 in jee mains and you are from SC category,there are slight chances of you get an NIT.
You wont be able to get top NITs but ypu will get one.

Correct but I have a small doubt that in 2017 cut off for SC is 32 then what is the qualifying marks
