Hi! If you have been allotted a seat in one of the colleges and the counselling procedures have been over, then you have to pay the fees for the entire course. For instance if the annual fee of a college is 1 lakh, then you are to pay the entire amount of 5 lakhs for a 5 year course. This is to ensure that the seat is not wasted.

however, if the counselling procedure is still going on, then some colleges may only keep the security deposit. Please keep in touch with the KEA website.
