Since you have four years of work experience it is on the right side of bell curve which gives maximum points for around 2-3 years of work experience in most colleges. 

Neverthless your work experience will come handy in the case of interviews and then final placements in b-schools. I would advise you to take up CAT examination and try to score 98 percentile plus to have a good chance in IIMs and colleges like MDI etc.

Hi, Work Experience always gives an edge to aspirants taking CAT or other examinations over other aspirants but it also depends on the Exam you take, percentile you score and how you perform in selection process. To do MBA from the top B-schools i.e IIMs, FMS etc. you need to take CAT which will be held on November 26th this year and academic sessions will start from next year. You have only three months to prepare for CAT and as you are working, hurdles will be higher for you due to your timing constraints. As you have work experience then going for CAT will be the best option for you. But don't restrict yourself to CAT and take XAT- for Xavier's Institutes, SNAP- for Symbiosis Institutes, NMAT- for Narsee Monjee Mumbai, bangalore and Hyderabad. IIFT- for Indian Institute of Foreign Trade. IIM Bangalore gives higher weightage to work experience so you should be aiming it. Try to get above 99 percentile.
