Hello aspirant,

Eligibility criteria for NEET

The minimum percentage required in 12th for NEET is separate for each category. NEET eligibility marks in 12th to be considered only for PCB subjects. The criteria is as follows,

UR[general] - 50%

OBC/SC/ST - 40%,

PWD - 40%

Eligibility criteria for CUET

The educational qualifications for CUET UG,

  • General Category : Candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in their Class 12 examination from a recognized board.
  • SC/ST Candidates : A minimum of 45% marks is required for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.

Eligibility criteria for Paramedical courses

The academic requirements for paramedical courses vary depending on the level of the course. For certificate and diploma courses, most institutions require candidates to have completed 10th or 12th grade from a recognised board, preferably with science subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Some reputed institutions may have minimum percentage criteria ranging from 45% to 60%, depending on the specialisation. For instance, a Bachelor of Physiotherapy might require at least 50% in the 12th with PCB subjects.

Hence, You are eligible for all the exams, whether it is NEET, CUET or any Paramedical course as you meet the required eligibility criteria.

Always remember, No matter what percentage, no matter what my numbers say in the sense of points, assists, rebounds and steals, it's always been about winning.

I hope this helps.

Hello Aspirant,

You mentioned the following marks - Biology: 47, Physics: 50, Chemistry: 52, with an overall percentage of 57% in your 12th board exams (2025, General category) - this is your eligibility;

  1. NEET (MBBS/BDS/AYUSH courses): Unfortunately, you are not NEET eligible as per the current NTA guidelines. General category students are required to achieve the following to be Neet eligible : 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) With pass marks in all subjects independently but your aggregate in PCB is 49.67%.
  2. CUET (for B.Sc. or paramedial): you may be eligible depending on the university and course. Some universities and colleges that participate in same CUET will take a 12 pass student into B.Sc. allied health courses but the eligibility criteria varies.
  3. Paramedical Courses (Diploma/B.Sc.): Yes, you may qualify for a number of paramedic diploma program or B.Sc. programs (like lab tech/radiology, etc.). These generally require: 12th pass, PCB and a minimum of 45-50% (varies based on institution/state).
