Registration for Josaa councelling will begin from 6th October. You will need to register with your jee mains registration number and password.

After registering,you will be required to login and fill choice of colleges in order of your preference which you will be required to complete by 15th October during which one mock seat allocation will be held, in which you will get the idea of which college you are more likely to get from your preference.

Then finally your seat allocation procedure will commence from 17th October.

JoSAA ( Joint Seat Allocation Authority ) has been set up the Ministry of Education to allocate seats to students to get admission in various institutes of India like  NIT's , IIIT's ,GFTI's , IIT's and other colleges.

You can only apply to JoSAA counselling when you have cleared your JEE Mains cut-off. If you have cleared only JEE Mains cut-off then you can take admission to NIT's , GFTI's and IIIT's , but if you have also cleared the JEE Advance cut-off then you can also take admission to IIT's .
