You haven't mentioned your home state. Analysing the previous year data, you have fair chances of getting into the NITs.

You may get some lower NITs like:
1. NIT Mizoram
2. NIT Arunachal Pradesh
3. NIT Srinagar
4. NIT Nagaland

You can check the cut-off ranks of all the NITs from the link given below:

Also note that the cut-off rank changes every year depending on the difficulty of the paper, and the number of candidates appearing for it.

If your AIR is 47861 then your general category rank will be below 15k-20k.  if your rank is below 10k then you can apply for CSE branch at top NIT campus like :- Trichy, warangal, rourkella, kharagpur.

There is high chance to get CSE branch and yes also for ME, ECE and EEE. you can apply for any branch option you are interested.
