Sahil at this point I am assuming that you have been preparing for a year for various law based exams and might have enrolled in some law based coaching if not that first I will advice you to start working hard , even if you catch up on the course now and you are a decent student in academics then there are chances that you can get into lower NLU or any good private college based on your CLAT score . 

Now coming to the question mentioned  I would say you should enrol for Career Launcher's test series as they have a really good base of researchers and they also tell you your rank comparing your marks with candidates from all over India . They also have branch all over India which gives them the edge that you will be judged from a wider number of crowd . You will also know where do you stand in this whole crowd which will be giving CLAT this year .  

Coming to the next question that approximately how many gives them or not does not matter , taking test series will always be beneficial for you to take an extra effort and write test which will help you prepare more strongly in the next paper and you will also get to know the pattern , the style of the question , in which subject you need to make an improvement , types of questions which you should not answer because they can consume your time etc. 

Even after this if you feel that you shoul go for CLAT Possible Test series maybe because of the cost charged or the test series given then I will say that keep monetary matters aside because a good test series provide you good revision material and helps you to test your ability . 

Still if you feel that there will be monetary issues then do go for test series whichever it may be then .
