JIPMER always conduct separate exam as AIIMS does and for getting admission, the students needs to qualify the JIPMER exam with good score and they don't admit on the basis of NEET results.

There is one more college beside JIPMER, PUDUCHERRY and that is JIPMER, KARAIKAL which was  started by JIPMER from the academic session 2016-17 with yearly intake of 50 students and all total seats in JIPMER are 200. So, after counselling, either of the college is alloted to the qalified student based on JIPMER marks.
