As you are giving your 12th examination next year so you will have the opportunity to give jee mains in the years 2022,2023 and 2024. In jee advanced you will have years 2022 and 2023 only.

Candidates need to have mathematics , physics, chemistry as compulsory subjects in your class 12th and you need to pass your examination from any equivalent board or university.

Jee main is conducted by NTA in online mode. The application for JEE main 2022 will be out in January 2022. It is a three hour test consist of three subjects - physics, chemistry and maths. Each subject has two section one MCQ type and second numerical based.
As you have mentioned that you are in class12 in year 2022, then you can appear for JEE main in 2022, 2023,2024 but for JEE advanced, you can appear in 2022 and 2023.
It is better that you appear in JEE main 2022 so that you can have an idea about the pattern of exam.

If you are in class 12th right now then you will be appearing for 12th board examination 2022 and thus you will be eligible for JEE main 2022. And will be also eligible for jee main 2023 , 2024 . So, you can appear in them too.

--------) Qualification required :- to be eligible  for JEE mains you need 10+2/equivalent qualification from a recognised board.

With 2022 as 12th board exam appearing year you

• Will eligible for jee main 2022

• eligible for jee main 2023 and

• eligible for jee main 2024

--------) There is no age limit to be eligible

--------) there is no minimum percentage requirement to be eligible for JEE Main.

But yes,

To be eligible for NITs, IIITs, CFTIs one needs at least 75% marks in class 12th if belongs to General or OBC category  or at least 65% marks in class 12th if belongs to Sc or St category. For only this year i. e 2021 this minimum percentage requirement of 75% - 65 % was lifted off.
