in neet OMR sheet I didn't found EWS option only GEN OBC1 OBC2 SC ST PH we're there.. which option should EWS student bubble?

Dear Aspirant,

You need to fill GEN category in the OMR sheet in case if you applied for EWS category. Explanation is given below :

EWS category is made for General category students who are not able to get seat in Medical colleges due to low economic reasons. So to provide support to such General category students 10% All India Quota seats are provided under EWS category.

So to summarize the EWS candidates are actually General category students but with special benefit to get fee concession when they get admission in any college through this category.

The Eligibility criteria for EWS category is

  • Family income Less than 8 lakhs per annum
  • Less than 5 acres of agriculture land
  • Less than 1000 sq ft Residential flat area Or
  • Less than 100 yard sq plot area ( notified municipal sector) or less than 200 yard sq plot area ( non notified municipal sector)
