Indira Gandhi Institute of Co-operative Management is located in Lucknow, the capital city of Uttar Pradesh. It is one of the institutes, which are managed and governed by National Council for Co-operative Training (funded by the Ministry of Agriculture), Government of India. Indira Gandhi Institute of Co-operative Management is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is affiliated to Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), Lucknow. The college teaches management course at the postgraduate degree level.

The college provides an ethical and intellectual environment for its students. The teaching faculty is top notch and give one on one mentor guidance to every student. The research and proactive placement cell is an added advantage to the college. The institution has the academic ambience for good teaching and practical training. Air-conditioned conference hall which is equipped with various electronic gadgets and public address system and has a sitting capacity of 125 participants. The college has a recreational hall and common interaction room. The college does provide residential facilities to its students.

Every year college intake 60 students into their prestigious 2 years MBA program. The course fee is somewhere around 80k per annum, which is pretty much nominal compared to many other institutes in the same region. For admission into the campus, you can give either MAT or UPSEE. The admission procedure follows: preparing the merit list, followed by GD+PI. 

Placements: The college has decent placement records form the last few years. The average package has increased to 4 lac. The highest package is 6.3 lac. The college provides the best placement assistance in the locality.
