No birth birth certificate is not accepted as address proof. Rather you can use the list of documents: mentioned below:
- Passport
- Driving/Arms License
- Election Commission ID Card
- Ration Card
- CGHS/ECHS Card
- Certificate of address with photo from Govt. recognized educational institutions (for students only)
- Water/Electricity/Telephone bill
- Address card with photo issued by Deptt. Of Posts, Govt. of India
- Post office documents
- Aadhar Card

Hello,
No birth certificate is not accepted as address proof. The documents accepted as address proof are Passport, Driving License, Aadhar card, water bill, electricity bill etc. Birth certificate can be used only for age proof not address proof. Valid Driver's License, Property Tax Receipt. Posted Mail with name of applicant. Utility Bill. Lease Agreement or mortgage statement. Insurance Card. Voter Registration Card. College Enrollment Papers. can be used as address proof.
