If you are a beginner, then HC Verma will be right choice for you.But if your concepts are clear then DC Pandey can be really good otion.
So, Start with HC Verma.

No single book is enough for preparation of JEE as you have to practice as many problems as possible to get a good rank in the exam.
Now coming to the question, HC verma is enough if you have some good coaching material at your back. Almost all the institutes have their good material however I would suggest you should go with Resonance or ALLEN material.
Coaching material + HC Verma will be enough for good preparation. If you are done with these, then you can go for coaching material of another institute.
