Is metallurgy a combination of mechanical engineering along its basic stream?
Metallurgy is a own different branch in itself. But if asked, then it's more of a substream of Chemical rather than mechanical. It has some courses of mechanical like material science, deformation of materials, mechanical properties of materils, heat treatment, etc.
