Is the Snapdragon 636 better than the 810?

Hello,
As per various reviews available on the web, Snapdragon 636 is slightly fair comparing to Snapdragon 810.
Both the chip sets are neck and neck in Single-Core performance, but the 636 completely wipes the floor with the 810 in Multi-Core performance.
Though 636 is 14nm based and 810 20nm (lower is better) so 636 is more efficient. Also 636 8 cores are clocked @1.8ghz. where as 810’s 4 cores @2.0ghz and 4 cores @1.8ghz.
