This bond is a legal agreement where the student agrees to pay a certain amount (often in lakhs) if they discontinue the course before completion. The purpose is to discourage students from leaving the course mid-way and to compensate the college for the lost seat and potential disruption.

Infact in some cases, the bond amount could be 10 lakhs, and the college may demand this amount if a student leaves the course, as well as refuse to return original documents until the payment is made.
