Hello there,
With 550 marks, your All India Rank will be around 24000 to 28000 approximately. Since you are from the general category, you have very low chances of getting a seat in government medical college with this rank. You should apply for state counseling. Your rank should be within 9000 to get a government college in West Bengal. Also note that the cut-off rank changes every year depending on the difficulty of the paper, and the number of candidates appearing for it.

You can get a seat in the following private colleges:
1. KPC Medical College and Hospital, Jadavpur
2. Shri Ramkrishna Institute of Medical Sciences and Sanaka Hospitals, Durgapur
3. IQ City Medical College, Durgapur

Hey dear, cutoff varies every year, if you see the last year's cutoff which went very high that even students getting 500 marks were unable to get  govt. Mbbs colleges. Since your score is 550, so you have good chances under state quota for mbbs, just stay tuned to the counselling. You can also use college predictor through this link:
