Regarding your query,there are three kinds of web developers (there may be more out there) based on what part of web development they focus on. This determines what they should know.

  • Front End Developers: They work on the look and feel and interactivity of websites. They specialize in writing HTML, CSS and Javascript. They mostly use one or more of the numerous Javascript frameworks available.
  • Backend Developers: Backend developers work on the server-side of web applications. They are responsible for website logic and functionality.
  • Full Stack Developers: They are able to sufficiently work on both the Front End and Back End parts of a website.

You can work to become one among these.
