Many students drop out because the education is not affordable. What can society do to build pressure on the government to look into this matter of making education affordable?

The biggest pressure that can be built upon any government is the pressure of votes. I don't think that there is any bigger pressure than that.

The problem that the activist or the people that are working in the education space in the non profit  sector is that we are fulfilling the supply side of the sector by making the textbooks for the government, training the teachers for them, helping them design the workshops, etc. which is we are doing from the on profit sector, we are working on the supply side. The issue is actually the demand side rather than focusing all this energy on supporting the government with the supply side. if we will focus our energy on the demand side and make people aware, make them realise the linkage between their vote and their monthly budget so when a family has to look upon savings for 10 years or 15 years they have to realise that the vote I cast two years ago is the reason why I am spending so much money on my child's education. I think that linkage people do not see yet and I think that is the greatest pressure that anyone can actually put on the government is the pressure of the vote.
