National Institute of Technology 2nd position par aati hai engineering colleges me aur IITs ke baad NITs hi aati hai top college me.

NIT me admission JEE MAINS ke score pr hota hai.

NIT ke liye tum eligible ho kyuki tumhara pcm me 50% se upar marks aae hai.

Tumhara JEE MAINS me 185 marks aaya hai 160 marks ke upar walo ko NIT mil jaati hai pr bohat low wali.

is baar cutoff bhi badh gaya hai.

185 marks me tumhe NIT mil sakti pr pr top wali nahi milegi.

Its always better to choose top private college rather than going for low NIT or IIT.

Well you are having a good marks in Jee mains which is 185 . with this marks you could have easily hot any nit. But this is applicable only if you have more than 75 percent in 12. 

As you say that you have 76% in pcm but overall percentage is just 69%. 

I don't think that you will get admission in nit. Although you have good marks in mains.
