Sda exam syllabus and question paper pattern

The SDA exam generally include subjects like General knowledge, General English/kannada , Reasoning, Computer knowledge and Current affairs. The paper is usually objective type with multiple choice questions . Total marks are around 100-150 depending on state / board. Negative marking may apply. Sylabuss varies slightly by recruiting authority.

The KPSC SDA examination syllabus consists of English (Grammar, Vocabulary, Spelling, Synonyms, Antonyms) and General Knowledge (Indian Constitution, History, Culture, Geography, Current Events, Everyday Science). The exam consists of objective type questions and The paper duration lasts for 90 mins.

Exam Pattern:

Paper 1 (Compulsory Kannada – Descriptive): 150 marks, 1 hr 30 min

Paper 2 (General English or General Kannada – Objective): 100 marks, 1 hr 30 min

Paper 3 (General Knowledge – Objective): 100 marks, 1 hr 30 min

Negative marking is applicable in objective papers (Paper 2 & 3).
