It is possible that, it might have been a prank message. Anyway ask him whether he has applied for IIRM. The IIRM may communicate regarding selection for appearance of aptitude test or interview. The admission procedure can be seen in https://www.iirm.ac.in/admission#admission-process . You can enquire the institute about the reality.
