Sir, suppose if i score 100 marks in Maths 50 in Chem. and 25 in Phy in 1st attempt & 2nd attempt if i scored well in PHY.?
Hello Noor
According to the NTA normalization procedure, candidates who will appear in both the attempts of JEE Main; their best of the two scores will be considered for preparaing the merit list/ rank. It would be the best of two scores in total.
For example-
In the first attempt, candidate's NTA score is as follows-
Mathematics- 99.62
Physics- 99.73
Chemistry- 99.85
Total- 99.86
In the second attempt, the candidate's NTA score is as follows-
Mathematics- 100
Physics- 99.21
Chemistry- 99.72
Total- 99.87
Final NTA Score for compilation of result will be as follows-
Mathematics - 100
Physics - 99.21
Chemistry - 99.72
Total - 99.87
The attempt in which your total score will be more, marks of that attempt would be taken into consideration.
I hope, you might have understood the procedure now. Refer to the brochure for details-
