There is no such official bifurcation between Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tear 3 colleges. These bifurcations are generally given by stakeholders. When it comes to management education in India. The colleges are divided in tiers based on their overall reputation, research, academics, diversity, alumni and placements etc. Some of the colleges which falls under a particular tier may be good in some aspect in comparison to its counterpart which falls in another tier. In the end, it all depends upon the calibre of students that how well they can leverage the opportunity given to them in the business school.
