Kurukshetra University was established in 1956 by late Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India. KUK has been accredited with A+ grade by NAAC. It is UGC approved and has a membership of a huge university network called Association of Commonwealth Universities. It offers 175 courses in 47 departments altogether.

The infrastructure of the college is fabulous. It has a large sports ground and organizes several extracurricular activities.

On regular basis , a number of fests are being celebrated here. Ratnawali is famous one. This year it will host 13tu South Asian University youth festival in the campus.
