Temperature is a relative measure , or indication,of hotness or coldness a hot utensil is set to have a high temperture .
Hello Soumyadeep,
Temperature is a relative measure of degree of hotness and coldness of an object. It can be measured through a thermometer. Yes, it is true that a hot utensil is set to have a higher temperature than a normal utensil and a cube of ice is set to have a lower temperature than normal water. Simply speaking, an object that has a higher temperature than another object is said to be hotter. Note that hot and cold are relative terms just like tall and short.
Hope this helps!
