Yes, the NEET UG cutoff for Kashmiri Migrants is different based on category.

If you are a Kashmiri Migrant from General Category, the expected cutoff is between 330 to 380 marks. But to be on the safer side and have more chances of getting a seat, it is better if you score 430 or more. This will help in getting a seat in private or deemed universities in states like Karnataka.

If you are a Kashmiri Migrant from reserved categories like SC, ST, OBC, or EWS, then the basic qualifying mark is around 113 marks. This is based on the 40th percentile. But just qualifying does not guarantee admission. You might still need more marks to actually get a seat depending on college and seat availability.

So, the cutoff depends on your exact category.

Hello Aspirant,

Yes, you are right - Kashmiri Migrant (KM) candidates are normally classified into two subcategories for NEET UG:

  • General Kashmiri Migrant
  • Reserved Category Kashmiri Migrant (such SC/ST/OBC under KM)

The cut-off differs for each:

  1. General KM: The cut-off for general KM candidates usually ranges from 330 to 380 marks depending on the year a college
  2. Reserved KM (ST/OBC KM): The cut-off can be lower, often in the range of 280 - 320 marks based on availability of seats and state policy.

Nonetheless, exact cut-offs can vary each year depending on the level of difficulty of the examination, the number of available seats, and number of applicants, so it is recommended to check the official counselling portal (MCC or other state quota notices) for the latest information.
