what course should i opt after 12 to become a geneticist

To become a geneticist you can opt any of the 2 things mentioned below after 12 but you should have had science as your stream in 12th to further proceed your studies with genetics:
1)BTech in Genetic Engineering
2)BSc in Genetics and then post graduation i.e MSc in Genetics.
